Ideal candidates will have experience with truck maintenance, equipment installation, or similar  backgrounds.  Welding and Fabrication Experience is a plus, but not required. 
Preferred Experience:
*Truck mechanic or similar experience 
*Knowledge of fire apparatus or emergency vehicle systems a plus but not required
Key Responsibilities:
*Install equipment and components on new truck deliveries
*Perform regular maintenance and inspections on vehicles
*Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues
*Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members
*Follow both verbal and written instructions accurately
*Self-motivated to maintain detailed attention to quality and safety while working efficiently
Physical Requirements:
*Ability to frequently kneel, climb, push, pull and lift 40lbs without assistance
*Comfortable working in both shop and field environment

This hybrid role combines on-the-road field service repairs with vital in-shop preparation and maintenance. The ideal candidate possesses advanced electrical and OBD-type diagnostic capabilities to ensure our emergency vehicles and trucks operate at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

Field Service & Diagnostics

  • Advanced Diagnostics: Utilize OBD-type diagnostic software and specialized tools to accurately troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Electrical Expertise: Perform advanced electrical system testing, wire routing, and component replacement on emergency apparatus.
  • Mobile Repairs: Travel to customer locations to deliver prompt, high-quality field repairs and minimize vehicle downtime.

Shop Operations (Winder, GA)

  • New Truck Prep: Install aftermarket equipment, specialized gear, and final configurations on new fleet deliveries.
  • Customer Vehicle Service: Complete standard maintenance, and upgrades on customer trucks brought into the shop.
  • Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment when working locally.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong proficiency in automotive/heavy-truck electrical systems and wiring schematics.
  • Proven experience with OBD-type diagnostic tools and software scanner systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
  • Ability to work independently on the road and collaboratively in a fast-paced shop environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or relevant certifications (ASE, EVT) is a major plus.
